DESCRIPTION

Basil herb has been used for multiple applications throughout the years – it has been part of religious practices, extensively used in herbal medicine and included in many various culinary creations.

The essential oil distilled from the leaves of Ocimum basillicum plant is also known as Sweet Basil oil.  The energizing aroma of Basil oil is known to help mental focus and determination. It can also neutralize unpleasant odors. Diffusion of Basil oil at home could help purify the air, and it is believed that it could help reduce the chances of getting sick. The scent of Basil is quite strong, and it can easily dominate in different aroma blends.

Applied topically, Basil oil has purifying, tightening and stimulating action and is known to promote rejuvenated and brighter-looking skin appearance. Basil oil could also support healthy hair growth and promote better scalp circulation.

SUGGESTED USE

Diffuse Basil oil when you need to improve your concentration or when you have a headache or fatigue.

Create your natural repellent by mixing Basil oil with other essential oils (Lemongrass, Clove, Cedarwood, Lavender, Tea tree etc.)  and dilute in appropriate base.

Dilute in a carrier oil and apply to skin, especially on breakouts, insect bites, stings.

 

Create a massage blend with Basil oil and apply with gentle massage movements to sore muscles or aching joints to relieve discomfort.

Add a few drops of Basil oil to your hair shampoo or conditioner and use as normal. This will help cleanse the scalp and promote healthy hair.
